Smile! You’re at the best WordPress.com site ever

first day of class, as soon as i entered the classroom, all the students thought i was the teacher cuz i was carrying a teacher type bag… so they thought the class would start, but they were surprised when i sat on the student’s chair..
actually, when our Japanese teacher entered, he looked younger than me…
can i can feel i am older than the teacher…
anyway, today we studied hiragana, 20 characters, my writing skills weren’t good, the teacher kept correcting my work, as in, he put more emphasize on me…
we talked about Japanese culture, so i again, i asked the teacher “SENSEI, do u know AKB 48?” and he said yes and he was dancing heavy rotation, but all the students, werent familiar with AKB 48 so i was upset…anyway, my classmates were from different age and background one was a businessman, he said he will go to Japan tomorrow for three days cuz of his family business, actually he was in Japan last week, so i told him “WOW i envy u, u go to JAPAN every week” so he told me he is studying Japanese cuz he needs to know the basic cuz he said when he is in JAPAN, the people there, speaks only Japanese….
then there were two women in our class, whom at first i thought were KOREANS, but i found out they were Chinese….my seatmate was really good in writing hiragana, so i often looked at her paper, cuz the teacher gave us some seatwork writing in hiragana…i asked if she studied nihongo before and she said she did, even the teacher was impressed at her Japanese skills…next week i will sit beside her again so i can check my writing skills…

during the class, we practiced dialogues, and i asked the teacher if he know yong sama, BAe yoong jun, he is famous for the drama, ENDLESS love and everyone in the class had this look like?who is he?anyway, there were many funny moments in the class cuz i would ask the teacher about words in KOREAN, like AJUMA, in Japanese it’s obasan and he knows that, bec he was teaching us grandmother which is OBAASAN, so i misunderstood, cuz i only know the word obasan, cuz i always use that word with my Japanese students, similar to AJUMA to my Korean students…. and finally, the teacher was teaching the class the word, Aoi, which means sky, so i asked him, sir do u know SORA AOI…and he said, yes he is a famous adult movie star in Japan, and all my classmates, were wondering cuz they don’t know her…

OCD

OCD.

OCD

now a days,i’ve been actively cleaning the toilet and bathroom in my place.kkk
actually, i’ve OCD…..but when i was young, i often clean the house during weekends, including the toilet and bathroom, then as i grew up i got more busy so i didn’t have time to do so, then i had a part time job at a fast food chain, at that time, i was still a teenager, so i was eager to do some part time job, unfortunately i was assigned at the closing period so it means i have to take out the garbage and clean the toilets…it was terrible, it was a dirty job, but i think it was a memorable experience…later when i developed OCD, i didn’t want to touch anything that i perceived to be dirty…
so when i was in KOREA i was staying in my student’s workplace located in Sinchon,my favorite place in the world, anyway, at that time her boss was in the Philippines handling his business so it means my student and the other office staff can do whatever they wanted, so i stayed most of the day there, it was summer in Korea so i didn’t want to go out cuz it was hot outside… anyway, one day my student told me that her boss was arriving the following day , so we had to clean the office, she was assigned to clean the toilet, at that i really didn’t want to clean an office toilet but since i was staying in her family’s house, i was obliged to help her, i remember we wore gloves and at that time the toilet looked like it hasn’t been cleaned fro years..
so u can imagine i had OCD and i was supposed to touch some really filthy things.kkk
to make a long story short, i tried my best to help her clean the office toilet , setting aside my OCD… later, i would help clean my other student’s house, cuz i would stay in there place for a week or longer so i really feel it’s the only thing i could do to repay them for letting me stay in their places…

Psy’s gentleman song has the same characters as before but this time the complete cast of MOHANDO JON(infinity challenge) nong cheul, yu jae seok, etc, then the dance is of course very familiar BROWN EYED GIRLS abracadabra, that’s why my favorite member GAIN is there…the location of the shooting is still Gang nam, but one part GOYANG gym, GOYANG is in ILSAN near PAJU and near the DMZ line, i remember going to GOYANG SHI and visiting LAKE PARK across MBC and SBS t.v. station to watch the dancing fountain but unfortunately, that day it wasn’t working… Aside from that they featured POJANG MACHA, its a Korean street food restaurant, where u can eat ODENG, UDONG and TOPOKI, in the music vide Psy is seen eating a raw TOPOKI while putting it around him… i remember i spent a lot of time in POJANG MACHA’s everytime i go to SEOUL cuz as we know food is expensive there and POJANG MAcha’s are the cheapest u can buy in KOREA… then there’s one scene there were all YG family were dancing, Big bang, etc…

anyway, over all the song sounds like KPOP ten years ago, with a mix YG entertainment style,BIG BANG beat, and little bit GROSS…kk

sinigang

Today  the student asked me, about a fruit that she saw  in the department store that’s brown and shaped like a sausage, from her description, i already knew it wasnt a fruit, so we googled it and told her it was a Tamarind, usually, it’s added in Sinigang to make it sour….

Anyway, SINIGANG, for the KOREANS, it’s the number one Filipino food that they dont like in Philippines, followed by COCONUT, BALOT and then rootbeer

The Japanese they can eat Sinigang and they dare to eat BALOT and drink Coconut…

The KOREANS. they can try to eat BALOT but after a few second spit it out, of if ever they swallow it, they try to vomit it out…kk i saw that so many times from my students…

now regarding the COCONUT a lot of KOREANS have an idea that it has a sweet juice drink, in their expectation it’s deliciously sweet, but once they’ve tried it, especially the one’s that is newly opened and quite warm, they are shocked to find out, that it’s tasteless so in their conclusion it’s not delicious…and the funny thing about it, IN EVER  LAND (it’s their version of DIsneyland, located in Yong in,owned by SAMSUNG group of companies) they sell coconut juice there, of course mixed with sugar so its really sweet.kkk

Sinigang, i remember the first time i introduced it to a Korean student was ten years ago, we visited a co teacher’s house and at that time Sinigang was the main dish for dinner, so i told my student “oh this is my favorite Dish, you should try it” so he hurriedly ate it, when he was finished eating it, i asked him if he wanted some more and he immediately replied “no” later he told me it tasted sour and he actually didn’t like it…so i thought it was only he who didn’t like it, but later, whenever i go to a Pinoy Buffet resto with Korean students, they would have the same reaction…it’s so funny…now the reason for why Most Koreans, don’t like it is because they don’t have the same kind of Dish in their culture…

but some students said, they like it, but i have a feeling they were lying.kkk

anyway, there are a lot of KOREAN food in KOREA that i think was more disgusting than BALOT, as in a lot… i forgot the names of it, but when i was in KORea, my students introduce a lot of it to…BONDEGGIE (silk worm) actually, i like the canned version, but if ever u go to KOREA and try to real fresh bondeggi, that’s being sold on the street, u can smell it miles away, it feels like u are beside the sea shore…  and i’m not sure if a foreigner can take the taste of it.kkk

Ten most beautiful airports in the world

http://www.10best.com/interests/trip-pics/10best-beautiful-airports-across-the-world/

in this website, i have been to three of the most beautiful airports in the world, for me, Hong Kong is the best! followed by Changi Airport and then Incheon in Korea… but for me the most memorable airport that I have been too, is in Dubai, actually, it’s the first foreign airport that i have stepped foot on… I will never forget that day, I felt like I was in a beautiful dream, it was big and there were so many foreigners… i stayed there for half a day waiting for my connecting flight to Bahrain, and then, on my way back to Manila, from Saudi Arabia… The other airports that are also memorable for me are Thai Airport, which i stayed for almost a day, i slept there, I remember there weren’t any more passengers so the airport was closed, but i was going around the airport and also, i slept on the chairs…

the other airports that i have been to are BaHrain, Damam in Saudi Arabia, Malaysia and Bali Airport…

the local one’s are of course Terminal 1 , Terminal 2 and Terminal 3, and in the domestic front, Cebu airport, KALIBO airport, which i have been to so many times, and once in Caticlan, i hate that place, it’s so expensive..

NORTH KOREA

NORTH KOREA.

NORTH KOREA

I REMEMBER the first time i got a glimpse of north Korea was during my first visit to Korea, i went to Paju, that place really look isolated, lots of fields and a few buildings, of course it’s understandable PAJU is near the DMZ line…anyway, my student and his taekwondo teacher and classmates took me to a mountain in PAJU, it was early winter, so it was really, really cold… when we reached the top, i saw North Korea and it loooked so quiet and peaceful, opposite from what the international media depicts of it…

My life in the MIDDLE EAST

I was in the home section area of a department store today, and i saw a coffee maker… suddenly, i remembered the time i was stationed in the MIDDLE east, many years ago….i was working as an office secretary to one of the CEO of an oil company (ARAMCO) and my boss asked me, if i knew how to make coffee, well, i wanted to show off to him, so i bluntly said “YES”…. the next morning, i was looking at the coffee maker and wondering, how does this thing work, anyway, i put some coffee and plugged the machine… i forgot to put water into it, so after a few minutes, i could smell something burning, suddenly i looked at the coffee maker and smoke was coming out from it… to make a long story short, i almost burned the office in an oil field… Anyway, working in the middle east was one of the most unforgettable experiences in my life, i call it my tour of duty… i was stationed to different areas, Dubai, Bahrain, but mostly Saudi ARabia… the temperature reached 58 degrees sometimes, u couldn’t imagine how hot that was… and during lunch break, i had to take my lunch in the cafeteria, i had to go out in the desert, i had to wear strong sun glasses cuz u know if u go out in the desert in a hot midday without wearing sun glasses, do u know what would happen… u can experience, temporary blindness… i met a lot of people there from different walks of life, from different countries, Indians, Nepalist, Bagladeshi,my bosses were British , Lenbanese and Americans…i would spend a lot of times talking to the Indians and nepalist, cuz i got a long well with them, i only talked to the Filipino’s when it was needed, some of them, have high ego’s cuz of working there for a long time, so most of the time i spent it with foreigners and i feel more comfortable with them..i had a lot of meaning experiences in the middle east and i wrote it down in my diary in friendster…unfortunately that website was closed down, in it were my diary about my life in KOREA, CNN english camp in tagaytay, etc.
